Many international buyers are hesitant to source from Southeast Asia due to perceived complexities in quality control and logistics. At Philippines Wood, we act as your eyes and ears on the ground, simplifying this complex process into a predictable timeline.

Here is a typical engagement for a client ordering two 40ft containers of Kiln-Dried (KD) S4S Mahogany.

Weeks 1-2: Inquiry & Feasibility

The client submits specs. Our team doesn't just quote; we verify current plantation harvest schedules to ensure the requested volume is legally available within the client's timeline. We provide a transparent quote (FOB or CIF) including all projected government fees.

Weeks 3-6: Milling & Kiln Drying

Once the deposit clears, we activate our partner mill. We don't just wait for the finished product - our QC agents visit during milling to ensure dimensions are accurate before drying. The wood then enters the kiln to reach the required 12-14% Moisture Content (MC).

Week 7: Final QC & Compliance Check

Before packing, we conduct a final moisture meter test and visual grading inspection. Simultaneously, our administrative team secures the DENR transport permits required to move the goods to the port.

Week 8: Loading & Fumigation

We supervise the container loading to ensure proper dunnage and strapping (minimizing transit damage). The container is sealed, and mandatory fumigation is performed for the phytosanitary certificate.

Week 9: Export Documentation Handover

As the vessel departs Manila, we courier the original Bill of Lading, commercial invoice, packing list, and all compliance certificates directly to the client, ready for effortless import clearance at their destination.
